Red Sox-Indians playoff game rained out | Bangkok Post: news

WASHINGTON - The Cleveland Indians' bid to advance in the Major League Baseball playoffs is on hold after rain washed out their scheduled game against the Red Sox in Boston on Sunday. Game four, if needed, will be played on Tuesday at Fenway, the postponement eliminating the scheduled travel day between games four and five in Cleveland. Indians right-handed pitcher Josh Tomlin and Red Sox righty Clay Scholz were slated to take the mound on Sunday and will face each other on Monday. It's the second game to be rained out in this post-season. The Washington Nationals hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers in game two of the National League division series on Sunday in a game postponed from Saturday.
